Therapy Team Lead Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist Team Lead to the multi-disciplinary team at Meadow High School. The successful applicant will be employed by Kate Meads Associates Limited.

Meadow High School is a special needs school which provides education to secondary aged students aged 11-19 years with a wide variety of conditions including autistic spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, respiratory, neurological and neuromuscular pathologies. It is a dynamic environment which received a good OFSTED report for its quality of teaching.

Kate Meads Associates Limited is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing services across the UK in a variety of clinical, private, corporate and public sectors.

The successful applicant will be a visible, imaginative and collaborative leader with a demonstrable track record of achievement with multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) as well as with children and adolescents with special educational needs. They will provide professional leadership ensuring the delivery of high quality strategic development of this school-based service and the application of integrated ways of working as well as developing relationships with all stakeholders. They will be responsible for coordinating and leading the school’s MDT which includes occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and health and welfare. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the direction and continued development of an effective and high quality service.  The MDT are responsible for integrating clinical intervention across all aspects of an educational curriculum ensuring that pupils are able to readily access and engage in learning.

  • 37.5 hours per week, 44 weeks per annum (with potential of additional hours)
  • Salary Range: £41697 - £51922 pro rata, incl outer London Weighting
  • Fixed Term: September 2017 to October 2018
