Rehabilitation Assistant Vacancy

A rehabilitation assistant is required to work within a multi-disciplinary team at Meadow High School. The successful applicant will be employed by Kate Meads Associates Limited.

Meadow High School is a special needs school which provides education to secondary aged students aged 11-19 years with a wide variety of conditions including autistic spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, respiratory, neurological and neuromuscular pathologies.

Kate Meads Associates Limited is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing services across the UK in a variety of clinical, private, corporate and public sectors. The post involves working alongside teachers within Kate Meads Associates’ multi-disciplinary team (MDT). The MDT are responsible for integrating clinical intervention across all aspects of an educational curriculum ensuring that pupils are able to readily access and engage in learning. All therapy staff are supported by the MDT lead and by senior clinicians across the therapy disciplines.

The post provides an excellent opportunity for consolidating and/or expanding your knowledge and skills as well as contributing to the continuing development of an effective and high quality service.

The candidate will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with previous experience of working in a therapy assistant role with children with special education needs. The role is 37.5 hours per week and will involve delivering therapy groups and individual programmes under the supervision of occupational therapists, physiotherapist and speech and language therapists. Therefore the successful candidate will be an excellent team player with the flexibility to work both individually and as part of a team.

  • 37.5 hours per week, 44 weeks per annum (with potential of additional hours)
  • Salary Range: £16,821 - £19,273
